Our hard working community relations specialist, Samera, has been busy posting information about upcoming changes for Module 3, the Demon Sands.
Included in these changes so far are:
A melee combat revamp that may rid us of the so-called "rapid fire attack" bug and will make combat abilities such as trip and sunder fit into the flow of the attack chain.
Changes to ranged combat which should help bring the power of archers and throwers in-line with melee. Speed of attack will scale with your BAB, everyone will be able to reload while moving, and much more.
A new treasure generation system to make the loot we recieve more appropriate for the level of the quest we recieve the loot in and a new way to handle static loot. No more +1 items from 10th level chests.
The Devs have also hinted at future articles outlining changes for both arcane and divine casters, and more information about PvP.
Module 3: The Demon Sands is going to be huge, and may revitalize DDO from the slump it seems to have been experiencing since release. If you've cancled your account, and have been waiting for changes to bring you back, October will be the month to renew your subscription to see what's going on with DDO.
Read about all the changes and more at the DDO main site.
