| Description |
There is no difference of the base xp when doing a quest on Normal, Hard or Elite. As far as xp goes, the only change is that the quest level is increased by 1 for every increased difficulty. For instance, if you are trying a level 2 quest in hard that quest would be level 3, and in elite it would be level 4.
Because of the way xp is earned for each mission you will get a bonus for quests of higher level then the highest level character in your party. You will also be fined for having a player higher level then the quest's difficulty. So increasing your level increases the modifier that you will earn more xp.
In addition to xp benifits of the higher difficulties, the monsters will be harder and the more annoying spells (such as hold) may be cast more often then on lower difficulties. To offset this the loot is of higher quality then lower difficulty settings and you can gear up quicker.
