Some of the challenges posed in the Quests by monsters can be pretty tough, especially at Hard or Elite levels for quests.
Having an overall target priority helps. A good basic one is:
Named Monsters (bosses)
Spell Casters
Ranged and Grunts
You also want to keep an eye on the CR rating og the enemies. This is their Combat Rating, the higher it is, the more damage they can deal. SO you want to take those outas quickly as possible. Generally this means following the above stated order. Of course you also need to keep an eye on what the monsters themselves are doing. If your fighters are beating up a Kobold shaman while your own casters are surrounded by Kobold warriors, you need to reasses the situation quickly.
